Below is a newspaper obituary from 1931 about one of the sons of Susan and Samuel Morton [Samuel is referred to as Saul in this article]. This article was found in a letter dated March 11, 1931 from "Kate" to Belva Leach Spidel. [Although Ora had a sister named Kate, it is a puzzle why if she is still alive, she is not mentioned in his obituary. Is this a different Kate who wrote to Belva? There was no return address rather than a postmark from Eaton, Ohio.] Ora, his sister Kate, and Belva were first cousins. Their mothers were sisters. (This article and letter are courtesy of Sharon Hinckley, Belva's granddaughter.

Below is a photograph of Marguerite Morton found in the same letter as the obituary above. [It is assumed by the webmaster that Marguerite is John Morton's daughter. John is Ora's brother, so Marguerite is Ora's niece; but this needs to be proven.]
